Client: Auckland University of Technology (AUT)
Project: School of Art and Design case studies
Graphic designer: Sons & Co.

This case study series profiles the research of seven academics. The stories demonstrate the depth and breadth of design research within the faculty, highlighting a vibrant and generative research culture.

We interviewed each practitioner across a range of photographic, graphic design, fine art and music disciplines to tell the story of their latest research project. The microsite serves to attract and inspire new postgraduate students to the faculty by showcasing the quality and scope of work in progress.

Excerpt:

‘Photographic and moving image artist Natalie Robertson tells stories about people and their historic connection with a place. Working with indigenous knowledge and customs, she researches and records the relationship between Māori communities and their natural environment, and particularly the impact of environmental degradation on traditional cultural practices.’
